Happy to share that Adam Gazzaley, Director of UCSF Neuroscience Imaging Center and Co-founder of Akili Interactive Labs, will share his work and insights on Improving brain & mental health via digital platforms, neuroplasticity research and the White House BRAIN initiative, at the 2014 SharpBrains Virtual Summit (October 28–30th).
Dr. Gazzaley is a faculty member in the Neurology, Physiology and Psychiatry departments, and principal investigator of a cognitive neuroscience laboratory that conducts research on the neural mechanisms of attention and memory. A major focus of his research has been to expand our understanding of the alterations in the aging brain that lead to cognitive decline. He has received many awards and honors for his research, including the 1997 Cortical Scholar Award, Pfizer/AFAR Innovations in Aging Award and the Ellison Foundation New Scholar Award in Aging.
