BrainBrain­tain­ment Resources/ Brain.com was a pio­neer in the mid-to-late 1990s in the pro­duc­tion of cog­ni­tive train­ing and brain health assess­ment soft­ware. Their main prod­ucts, Think Fast and Cog­nome­ter, were intend­ed to be used on a home PC to mea­sure and improve men­tal skills such as mem­o­ry, atten­tion, and speed, in old­er adults. Cog­nome­ter was used fre­quent­ly in research on cog­ni­tive impair­ment into the 2000s.
