Mens sana in corpore sano…and vice versa (interview in Spanish)

March 4, 2019 by SharpBrains

___

“La soledad es tan perjudicial para la salud como fumar 15 cigarrillos al día” (La Vanguardia):

“Respecto al peso total del cuerpo, más bien pesa poco. Unos 1.400 gramos. Y sus dimensiones tampoco son para tirar cohetes: ronda los 1.300 centímetros cúbicos. Pero a pesar de su reducido tamaño, su repercusión sobre el ser humano es incalculable. En él reside, ni más ni menos, que la mente y la conciencia del individuo. Sí, hablamos del cerebro, [Read more…] about Mens sana in corpore sano…and vice versa (interview in Spanish)

Explore the Future of Public Health & Brain Health with David Bartrés-Faz, PI of the Barcelona Brain Health Initiative

September 12, 2017 by Alvaro Fernandez

We’re happy to announce that David Bartrés-Faz, Principal Investigator of the new Barcelona Brain Health Initiative, will be speaking at the 2017 SharpBrains Virtual Summit (December 5–7th).

The Barcelona Brain Health Initiative (BBHI) is a new research project promoted by the Institut Guttmann, with the support from members of Harvard Catalyst and Harvard Medical School, already recruiting over 3,000 healthy volunteers (without medical diagnosis of neurological disease or psychiatric condition) between 40 and 65 years old. During the next few years [Read more…] about Explore the Future of Public Health & Brain Health with David Bartrés-Faz, PI of the Barcelona Brain Health Initiative

More Thumbs Up for 2012 SharpBrains Virtual Summit: NeuroSky, Institut Guttmann, Strategic North

July 10, 2012 by SharpBrains

“The 2012 SharpBrains Summit proved to be a highly rewarding, enjoyable and extremely useful experience. The hands-on information-rich workshops are helping take our current efforts to the next level” — Josep M Tormos, Research Coordinator, Institut Guttmann

“The SharpBrains Summit brings together leaders in all relevant cognitive fields from business to academic communities, as well as providing a forum to address the evolution of this emerging industry. Because cognitive enhancement, fitness, and entertainment are relatively nascent industries, it has been difficult to use traditional benchmarks to evaluate its success and growth. SharpBrains is quickly becoming the “go to” resource for innovation and business insight. Alvaro and his team delve into a variety of topics — both on macro and niche levels, making the SharpBrains Summit the perfect forum for discovery and idea exchange “- Stanley Yang, CEO, NeuroSky

“I cannot recommend the SharpBrains Virtual Summit highly enough. It’s a fantastic forum for knowledge sharing in the complex area of brain health providing access and discussion with world leaders in the field. I found the virtual format actually enhanced the learning experience and the short sessions focused the content in an engaging way which is often lacking in other traditional conference settings” — David Coleiro, Partner, Strategic North
