On the brain-boosting benefits of social engagement–and walking the Camino
Welcome to a new edition of SharpBrains e‑newsletter, discussing this time four important topics—social engagement, wearables, inattentive driving, bilingualism and the brain— and sharing an update on a bold new initiative to help women leaders in career transition.
#1. On the brain-boosting benefits of (healthy, productive) social engagement
#5. Next Chapter Accelerator For Purpose-Driven Women Leaders: As announced last month we are proud to collaborate with the WILD Network to offer a new program for executives ready to exercise their brains and regulate their stress levels by charting their path forward in sharp and supportive company.
The Inaugural Cohort will kick off in November (preceded by an optional Camino de Santiago walking retreat going on right now, as seen in the pic above), and the program includes a virtual workshop, Navigate Change with Confidence: Investing in Your Mental, Physical and Financial Assets, delivered by our own Alvaro Fernandez. The roster of registered participants so far includes stellar candidates in multiple sectors, private/ public/ non-profit. You can learn more about the Accelerator program here; please share feedback and ideas with us (we’re considering a future coed program, for example).
Wishing you a great month of October and adventure ahead
