New funding program announced to promote brain health innovation and collaboration

logo_cc-abhiCC-ABHI’s Indus­try Inno­va­tion Part­ner­ship Pro­gram helps com­pa­nies bring their inno­v­a­tive prod­ucts or ser­vices to mar­ket faster (press release):

“CC-ABHI is pleased to announce the launch of its Indus­try Inno­va­tion Part­ner­ship Pro­gram (I2P2). This new ini­tia­tive is designed to enable suc­cess­ful appli­cant com­pa­nies world­wide, to work with an eli­gi­ble seniors’ care orga­ni­za­tion tri­al part­ner to test and val­i­date their prod­uct or ser­vice in the field of aging and brain health! Through this pro­gram, CC-ABHI will pro­vide a co-invest­ment of up to $600,000 (CAD) in fund­ing to the eli­gi­ble tri­al part­ner site to fund a tri­al of the suc­cess­ful appli­cant company’s inno­v­a­tive prod­uct or ser­vice. In total, up to $1.5 mil­lion in fund­ing is avail­able through this program…To qual­i­fy for fund­ing, project sub­mis­sions must pro­vide solu­tions to one of the fol­low­ing themes:

  • Emer­gency depart­ment vis­its: Solu­tions that avoid or reduce unnec­es­sary emer­gency depart­ment vis­its for old­er adults liv­ing with dementia
  • Falls pre­ven­tion: Solu­tions that pre­vent falls or mit­i­gate injury due to falls in old­er adults with dementia
  • Aging at home: Solu­tions for bet­ter man­age­ment of com­plex chron­ic con­di­tions for old­er adults with demen­tia liv­ing at home
  • Cog­ni­tive fit­ness: Solu­tions that improve brain health or cog­ni­tive fit­ness in old­er adults”
