Description of talk (8 minutes): Why open science? The reasons are many, but here are a few: our service members returning from 14 years of war, the rise in awareness of sports related brain injuries and new research that shows the interrelatedness of neurological illnesses. One Mind believes there are three key drivers to building a strong foundation for brain diseases research – collaboration, big science, and data sharing focused on helping the patient, not the researcher.
