Yep They are the same. I had a hard time believing it, but open the image in Adobe Photoshop, and took a teardrop sample from both squares. They are the exact same grey value. :) Weird..
A is a more darker grey than B
I went to the proof and explanation and I still don’t believe A&B are the same gray. I hold fast to my above comment. I just don’t get it.
Print the picture and fold the page so the squares are together. You’ll see they are identical in shade

I think A is darker, B is a lighter color just shaded by the cylinder, but A is a really dark color.
A is more darker grey in color than B
